3.28.12: South Baltimore Teen Council to Conduct Mock Trial This Afternoon
March 28, 2012 -- Concluding weeks of intensive investigative and legal training, members of the South Baltimore Teen Council will conduct a CSI Baltimore Mock Trial today at 6 p.m. in the Clarence M. Mitchell Jr. Courthouse, room 400.
Working with volunteers from the Baltimore City Police Laboratory, the Office of the Public Defender, and the Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City, participants received training in how to conduct a crime-scene investigation and a trial. Their hard work culminates with tonight's trial.
"I am looking forward to watching these young people work toward a just end in this highly anticipated case," said State's Attorney Gregg L. Bernstein, who will attend the mock trial. "I thank them — and all who volunteered to prepare them — for their commitment to this valuable project."
