Chief of Staff
Caron A. Brace is the Chief of Staff here at Baltimore City State’s Attorney Office. In this capacity, she collaborates with the chiefs and deputy state’s attorneys in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office and ensuring that the vision of the State’s Attorney is executed.
Caron joined the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office after serving as the Director of Communications and Press Secretary to Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office, Caron served as the Senior Communications and Media Relations Specialist to Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot for nearly six years. During her career, she also served as Assistant Director of Communications at Coppin State University.
She is a Baltimore native with a passion for the community. She is the public safety chair for the New Broadway East Community Association, the secretary for The Transition Team, and a member of the Baltimore Police Department’s African American Advisory Board.
A proud graduate of Baltimore’s historic Western Senior High School, Caron received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Coppin State University, a Master of Public Administration degree from University of Baltimore, and a Juris Doctorate from University of Baltimore School of Law.
