The Office of the State’s Attorney is seeking to fill the position of Chief of the Juvenile Division. The Division is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of misdemeanor and felony cases for offenders under the age of Eighteen (18) years.

The Chief directly supervises a staff of Twenty – One (21) attorneys and Sixteen (16) support staff; works closely with the Department of Juvenile Services and the Baltimore City Police Department; engages with various stakeholders including the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI), Juvenile Justice Center’s Advisory Board, Teen Court Board of Directors and Juvenile Best Practices Committee.

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of juvenile court experience, five years of jury trial experience and be licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland.

 

Compensation:

Salary range is $79,152 - $126,582 commensurate with experience.
