The Office of the State’s Attorney is seeking to fill a position for its General Felony Trial Unit.

This administrative position is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of case preparation to include: intake, case file closures, document/record preparation, indictment preparation, collating and mailing victim and witness notification packets, maintaining the grand jury log, ordering supplies, completing payroll, answering phones and general unit-wise assistance as needed.

In addition, this position will be responsible for providing in-unit support to the General Felony Victim and Witness Advocates on an as-needed basis when the Advocates are unavailable. Responsibilities may include assisting Victim and Witness Advocates and prosecutors with witness preparation, transportation arrangements, emergency relocation services, counseling and service referrals and maintaining continued communication with victims and witnesses throughout the criminal trial process.

This full-time position will be located at 120 East Baltimore Street in Baltimore, MD, 21202. 

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and experience in case management, paraprofessional legal work or conducting research. Applicant should be motivated, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized and be able to meet deadlines. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. The candidate must be tech capable and have the ability to learn and use various computer and technological applications proficiently.

Salary: (Starting salary is $44,858).
